The Calicut based Al-Islam Charitable Trust established the Ansari Orphanage, Dayapuram on August 1, 1984 near Chathamangalam.

The primary goal of this orphanage is to provide the best living amenities to the deprived and desolate boys and girls, and bring them up as assets to the society. Those who complete class X are given opportunities for higher studies in the campus.

This orphanage, with its generous treatment of the orphans, desires to be a role model for other orphanages. The AICT runs the prestigious Dayapuram Residential School (affiliated to the CBSE) in the same campus. The inmates of the orphanage are educated in the same school and given all the amenities at par with the other resident students, without any discrimination whatsoever.

The institution strives to provide an atmosphere which will inculcate piety and morality among the inmates. The state Orphanage Control Board has recognised the Ansari Orphanage.

The valuable contributions of generous people are the main source of funds for the orphanage. Our sincere gratitude goes to all the well wishers whose support and guidance aided the smooth functioning of the institution.
