The Dayapuram Residential School was established in 1984. The seed of Dayapuram School was planted with the establishment of Dayapuram Nursery School. It is one of the several institutions run by the trust at Dayapuram.

The school provides English Medium education to the children of all sections of the society irrespective of religion, caste or region, in line with an all-India curriculum. Developing the overall personality of the children by instilling in them self-confidence, self-reliance, patriotism, leadership qualities etc. remains a major objective of the school.

The school is located in an extensive campus to the west of the National Institute of Technology Calicut (formerly REC Calicut), approximately 20Km away from the city. The campus can be reached by the Calicut - Mukkam road. Set in sylvan surroundings, away from the bustle of the town, Dayapuram is the right destination for one's educational needs.

There are two mosques in the campus, separately for boys and girls. Facilities for religious instruction exist for Muslim students.

Students who require residential facilities are provided with the same. The school has separate hostels for girls and boys, with all the modern amenities.
