Dayapuram Arts and Science College for Womens forms a part of the vast educational complex run by the Al Islam Charitable Trust a registered non-profitable voluntary organization situated at Chathamangalam, adjacent to the National Institute of Technology Calicut. The College was established in 2002, and is affiliated to the University of Calicut.

By establishing the College,the management aims to impart higher education to the aspiring girls of this locality who are socially and economically backward classes.

The College began with two Degree Courses. In the coming few years the college plans to grow as one of the most prestigious colleges in & around Kerala. The main motive here is to churn out culturally, academically and socially, exceptionally good young women, thereby uplifting the women in this rural area and in that process trying to achieve the real dream of the blessed soul in whose mind this idea originated.
