Dayapuram, "the land of kindness", strives to function as an educational and cultural centre that works for the upliftment of the downtrodden such as orphans and other socially deprived sections especially women. This educational complex, which accommodates more than 2000 students and 8 institutions is run by Al Islam Charitable Trust (AICT) (a registered Charitable non-profitable society) Calicut, established in 1983, based at Calicut. The head quarters is situated in a serene expanse of 40 acres, aptly christened DAYAPURAM, in a rustic setting adjacent to the National Institute of Technology Calicut (formerly the Calicut Regional Engineering College).

The campus is committed to instill values like secularism, humanitarian concerns and social commitment and to emanate a spirit of harmonious existence.
